A little late...Christmas cards

Well thanks to my severe scaling down on activities for Christmas, I did not make Christmas cards for en masses, but I did get to play around a little bit. When considering making cards for lots of people, I think easy peasy is best. The first card was way to plain, and could use even just a ribbion tied along the side to add spice. The second one requires more coloring than wanted, and I think the third one hit it on the nail. The layout of this card is simple, yet elegant, which is my preferred style. The white part that says JOY is glittered cardstock. The whole roll of ribbion I found at the dollar store by the wedding things which I thought was a great deal. However, the quality of the ribbion is really quite poor, and does not thread through other do-dadds easily (i.e. it shreads) . So for my pourpose it worked.

For great ideas on layouts, check out this website, Card Positioning Systems The whole website is dedicated to challenging their viwers to create cards using their pre thought out layouts. Viewers than post their cards in the "gallery." So you can see tons of different ideas. They also have a lot of free giveaways. By looking at the sketches, you can break down how to make good images that are applealing to the eye.

I think those are WAY cute cards. The last one is my favorite, too. Don't worry, I didn't get any Christmas cards out, and I didn't even have a good excuse like you did!
